POKHARA, Feb 24: The missing Tara Air aircraft has been found crashed at Dana VDC-2, Solighopte area in Myagdi district. All the 23 persons on board the aircraft have been confirmed killed. Acting Police Chief of the Western Region, SSP Mahendra Kumar Pokharel, said, “All 23 persons on board have been killed in the accident,” adding that a police team which has already reached the accident site gave him the information about the casualties. Locals have found the aircraft aflame in Dana VDC-2, Solighopte area. Shyam Pun, Lal Bahadur Pun, Nabin Khadka and Sher Bahadur Budhathoki along with a police man rushed to the crash site after a local of Rupse informed them. “We saw an aircraft aflame. It is still burning,” Shyam Pun told Republica Online. According to him a body is also lying at the site. -
