Nepali Congress discusses reports at GC closed session -

The first day of the closed session of the 13th national general convention, Nepali Congress acting President Ram Chandra Paudel and General Secretary Prakash Man Singh presented their reports for discussion. The session had begun at around 3 pm today, around an hour late than the scheduled time.On behalf of Paudel, Central Working Committee member Mahesh Acharya had presented the partyтАЩs policy and programmes. Meanwhile, in his report, Singh proposed amendments to the partyтАЩs statute with making the Central Working Committee more inclusive, according to party Publicity Department Chief Minendra Rijal.Treasurer Chitra Lekha Yadav also presented her report today. The reports to be presented in the closed session would be endorsed after amendments based on feedback from the convention representatives. A total 3,175 representatives from across the country are taking part in the closed session. The SundayтАЩs session is expected to hold the election for the new central committee, the NC National Convention Central Election Commission said. Meanwhile, the closed session for today ended with a decision to resume the discussion tomorrow. -
